The kitchen of DC Comics. The story of three women who came to dominate the underworld of Hell's Kitchen in the seventies. A history of family, ambition, violence, honor and blood, where nothing is as it seems, and the decomposition of values is as quick as useful. Afdah Free Movies
Kathy and Rubby, married sisters with members of the Irish mafia and her friend Angie, now in the same situation. But when their gangster husbands are sent to jail, Kathy, Rubby and Claire see no other way to make a living, and it turns out they are very good at that job. The only option is to collect the business of their husbands. At the beginning it is survival, but the power, the money, ends up turning these housewives into real bosses of crime, and as we know, if there is pasta, there are problems, if there is power, there is corruption. And not even the closest families can avoid it. In the end, the smell of rot ends up on the surface.
Ollie Masters weaves a story in which the most important thing is change. Because the day they decide to take control. These three women decide to change to survive, to control their lives, not to depend on anyone, their husbands or the charity of others, to live on their own strength and intelligence. In a gesture of will they prevail in a world of men. But it is a world that does not understand friendship or family. Gradually, the transformation takes the three women to dark places, seeking to improve their lives, their selfishness and ambition grows more and more, until it explodes.
I think a bright spot in Berloff's script was how he framed humor. It was not in the form of jokes or funny phrases. But even more so in situational responses and various scenarios that history believes I think was able to weave many lovely emotional changes, without reducing the intensity of the main story. The Kitchen miniseries is the work of Ollie Masters, Ming Doyle and Jordie Bellaire. Acclaimed creative team that opens a cracked and smudged window to a past era of New York City to shape a shocking criminal drama.
