The idea for the script for the original Hocus Pocus movie was born by producer David Kirshner, when he once, watching a neighbor's black cat, decided to come up with a fairy tale for his daughter - about three witches who turned a boy into a cat. The script, co-written with Mick Garris, was bought by Walt Disney Pictures back in 1984, but eight years passed before Bette Midler, a clowness with two Oscar nominations, became interested in the project. The film was shot in Salem, where at the end of the 17th century 14 "witches" were hanged on charges of witchcraft, and in California, the atmosphere on the set was truly enchanting.

For those who still have not watched the first part or forgot it, we will remind you. Salem, Massachusetts, October 31, 1993. According to local legend, if a virgin or virgin on Halloween night lights a candle in the house-museum of the Sanderson witch sisters, they will rise from their graves, eat all the children in the city and remain forever young. For three hundred years they rested in the cemetery until a candle with a black flame was lit, the fire of which resurrected the trinity of witches on the eve of All Saints' Day under the full moon. Several schoolchildren get into that very hut: teenager Max lights a candle and the prophecy comes true. Only no one notices the witches - the streets are full of dressed-up monsters. Max Dennison and his sister Dani must fix everything and stop the witches from gaining immortality before the sun rises.

Although the Sanderson sisters die at the end of the first film, they are brought back to life in the sequel after the unfortunate candle is lit by three teenagers. The action of the second part of the film "Hocus Pocus 2" will unfold in 30 years in our days during the Halloween period. Three carefree schoolgirls light a candle of black flame, thereby awakening the ancient villains, who have become even more dangerous and hungrier. The rebellious witches intend to have fun and suck all the life juices out of the local kids. To prevent this from happening, the teenage girls will have to deal with the busy Sanderson sisters as soon as possible.
